HR Lead – Part-Time
(Onsite, 8 AM – 12 PM, Tuesday–Friday)

About the Role

As our Part-Time HR Coordinator, you’ll be working onsite, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday (16 hours/week), with flexibility to scale as the business grows. You will have the unique opportunity to shape our HR functions and make a lasting impact in our small but ambitious company. You’ll be responsible for recruiting top talent, creating a positive workplace culture, and ensuring our HR processes run smoothly. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility and a proactive approach, as you'll work directly with leadership to streamline HR operations and enhance employee engagement.

Responsibilities

Focus: Payroll, hiring compliance, employee lifecycle, and creating a strong, values-driven team culture.

Key Tasks

• Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
• Post job descriptions
• Screen candidates and schedule interviews
• Conduct interviews
• Manage applicant tracking in tools like Excel Job Tracker, etc.
• Handle candidate communication professionally
• Onboarding, Off boarding & HR Documentation
• Design and manage a streamlined onboarding process to ensure new hires have a smooth and engaging experience.
• Prepare offer letters and welcome documents
• Set up new hires with email, tools, and an intro schedule
• Offboard team members with proper documentation, exit interviews
Payroll & Records
• Run bi-weekly payroll through Intuit.
• Make sure hours, time-off, and reimbursements are logged accurately
• Maintain employee records and documents (contracts, NDAs, etc.)
• Employee Relations & Engagement
• Serve as the go-to person for employee concerns, conflicts, and feedback.
• Promote a positive company culture and drive employee satisfaction.
• HR Compliance & Legal
• Make sure you’re up to date on local employment laws
• Track PTO, leave requests, and benefits info
• Keep handbooks, policies, and company docs updated
• Help build and maintain company policies that align with both legal requirements and the values of the company.
• Culture, Engagement, and Performance Management
• Plan birthday shout-outs, team wins, and fun Slack moments
• Organize team-building activities and culture events (virtual or in-person)
• Coordinate quarterly reviews or EOS People Analyzer check-ins
• Establish regular feedback mechanisms and help employees develop within their roles.
• HR Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to develop HR strategies that align with business goals, employee needs, and company culture.

You’re a Fit If You:

• Are experienced in HR coordination with 3+ years of experience in HR, ideally in a small to mid-sized business. Experience in recruiting, employee relations, and HR compliance is a must.
• Can work independently 4 days/week, manage multiple tasks, and hit the ground running
• Know tools like QuickBooks Payroll.
• Have great people skills and love creating positive environments
• Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
